Suspension & Steering / Re: Suspension ride height
The Genetically Modified sticker made me laugh!
We created that group (GMVW) back in 2001 so we could get into shows for free.
We disbanded in 2010, I dare say that's the last car with those stickers on.
As for the suspension, I'd say the front looks spot on. See if Gaz can sort you out with something for the rear?
LOL, I like those stickers, going to keep them! Especially if they are now unique!
I've asked Gaz what's going on with the spring lengths - I've only just bought them!

Suspension & Steering / Re: Suspension ride height
Have you got any photos of it?
I tend to run mine with an equal gap between the tyre and arch all around, if that makes sense.

I'm tempted to just lower the rear to match the front, so will be just under 300mm arch to centre of hub all round?

Suspension & Steering / Suspension ride height
The original springs were 350lb front and rear - good for the track but too stiff for the road.
Now have 250lb front and 180lb rear as I'm mainly going to be using it on the road.
Bottom of arch to centre of hub in mm:
Was 295F / 300R with the original springs.
Now 295F / 335R with the new springs - rear seems jacked up!
What ride heights are you guys running? Definitely don't want it slammed, but don't want massive arch gaps either! Also want to get over speed bumps without too much hassle!
Thanks!

New Members Say Hi! / Re: Just bought my first mk2 GTI in over 25 years
I'm probably one of the few people who remember that car as an 8v!
I know the Gummers, they have gone over every inch of that car with a fine tooth comb.
That's great to hear - Jimmy Gummer has been fantastic answering all of my questions!
BTW, like your VW car history Monkey

Hi!
Not sure about imbedding images from google.
But that looks very similar to a car I used to know, does it have a fiberglass tailgate by any chance?
J Plate?
It does have a fibreglass tailgate at the moment and is on a J plate. Car was owned by the Gummers and built up over 20 years. Did you see it on a track day?

New Members Say Hi! / Just bought my first mk2 GTI in over 25 years
I last had a Mk2 GTI back in the mid '90s! It was an '88 Oak Green 8v.
Now back in the fold with a '91 (originally 8v now has a Mk3 2.0 16v with ITBs).
I bought the car as the shell is solid and the engine, gearbox and brakes are epic.
Gradually converting from a track car to something more suitable for the road.
Here it is soon after I bought the car a few months ago:

BTW, how do I embed photos from Google Drive?

Other Problems / Recommendation for dual outlet washer pump
I would also like this to feed the tailgate washer jet, so would like to replace the single outlet pump with a dual outlet pump.
Would something like this fit?
I've included links to photos for the bottle and current single outlet pump
Any suggestions please? Thanks.
