Hi guys, any help on this would be much appreciated.
I've had an MOT fail as the housing around the fuel pump and fuel regulator is shot to pieces, as well as the O-ring of the fuel pump. So fuel has been leaking, causing further corrosion. I need to source a fuel pump (with an electrical pump) and a fuel regulator. Any ideas welcome as how to fix this or where to get the parts. Please bear in mind that this has a MK3 16v engine in (although I don’t think this should make a difference).
I have recently become the proud owner of a 1989 Mk2 GTI which has had its engine replaced with a Mk3 2.0 16v. It's a great car, and although not the purest of specimens, I hope you will welcome me to this club. I have a lot to learn and am keen to hear from anyone who has advice.
