I would get a vcds interface that supports your vehicle, even thoug it might seem expensive at 1st, you can sell a genuine interface for almost full asking price or keep it if you get another VAG engine...Gendan or Ilexa will stock genuine, worth asking for a forum discount, you never know !
Hi to all on the forum, my name is Chris, i am a vw specialist, i tinker with cars and run a busy garage in Romania. I fell in love with VAG group models 2 decades ago and i didnt stop tinkering with them since. I have 2 mk2 golfs i swapped engines in: a 350 Bhp PD 130 with a 6 speed conversion and a mk2 coupe with a mk3 tdi engine swap. Engine power in this is not known, however i have a bigger turbo, bosio race 520 nozzles, a 11 mm pump and later AWX pistons and AJM rods... Amongst other cars i also have a t4 transporter 2.5 tdi, a seat exeo 2.0 CR tdi and a vw up as a runabout ! I commute daily about 100 miles so i need reliable, fun cars... Hope to exchange tips and info with you lot !
