All those who have purchased tickets have been emailed today with new date. Will know February if we have any spare track passes.
If you look at VW widows signature it says it’s 16th 17th??? I don’t care but my calendar is beginning to look at right mess as I scribble the dates out and change them !
it also says 2021 !
😂 I didn’t see the ‘21 That and the post that said ‘new dates emailed to existing ticket holders’ was enough to confuse me!

What a great MK2 you have by the sounds of it. Helios blue is one of my favourite colours and you’re right it will look almost purple in the sun. VW has done some great metallic colours over the years which are pretty subtle but to the true car enthusiast look great. Good luck with your resto I’d keep all the cars you have original without chopping into anyone of them. Adding stuff like cruise is cool though. How does it operate on the mk2?? I’ve never seen it before.
I would like to attend this all things going to plan etc, my dilemma is.... I have a camper van so there's absolutely no way i'll sleep in a tent, also I'd rather stay in that than a hotel. There's zero chance of the missus coming and driving either the van or the Golf so it looks like I'll have to put the golf on a trailer. I was never fond of trailer queens and the golf certainly isn't to a standard which would even warrant putting it on a trailer but realistically if I want to attend that's the most practical way of getting there. Please feel free to mock me when I arrive with it on tow!!!
No wonder I had a couple of people say good luck!! There really are some mis-described cars out for sale, some of which looked good in the photos. I bought the Royal blue '90 car and am very happy, loads of history, low owners (five) and low(ish) mileage 108k. Really solid example after looking at some rotters. I've got some work to do to bring it up to a decent daily driver/show and shine entrant but I'm hoping by the time the show season gets here we'll be ready. I've started an instagram page for it if you wish to follow the progress. Follow @_Mr_GTI_
Roll on Saturday. I managed to find a nice example. Royal blue ‘90 5dr 8v. Solid car with a lot of original parts. The plan will be to get it ready for the shows next year.
Evening all, after about a 15 year break i'm looking to buy another Mk2 GTI. In the ninties and early 2000s I owned little else and can genuinely say i've owned over 40 Golf GTIs from series 1 Mk1s to a Mk7 clubsport. Mk2s where always my favourite and also the first GTI i bought many years ago at 19 years old. Maybe it because I too am a '76 so definitely a connection there. I'm looking at three this weekend and hope to bring one home soon. I was hoping to find a 88/89 car preferably a 3 door but the market seems flooded with 5 door variants.
