I'm based in Northern Ireland and have a golf Driver m2 5 door 1.6 and I like it lots.
It eats all my money and I use it often so it needs tlc, currently getting some body work done which will require two new skins on two of the doors and I am going to put on some new seals that I got from Hang Chung Classics in China that I am hoping is going to be a big upgrade, they are one piece, these guys also supposedly sell the rain gutter seals too though they were expensive when I looked though they did bring the price down, they made mk2 jettas there for a long time, until the 00's I think.
My car has leather seats and a retro modern stereo. I like it and I raised it up after I got it as it was so slammed. It was an ebay impulse purchase in pandemic and I flew to cornwall or Bristol or somewhere and drove it to Stranraer which was a long way give the journey started at midnight, it almost made it back and stopped working on the last bit, so did I monster energy drinks were not my friend.
But it's good and I am learning lots about cars and mechanicing since it needs constant tlc of course, it is sometimes just a lot more satisfying to do it ones self though if there was a tinder for mechanics I would definitely join it.
Will get some pics up once the next bit of body work is sorted and any NI peeps say hi, not sure if there is a mk2 meet up but that could be nice.
