Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #360 – October 26, 2021, 11:51:08 PM Not going to get a picture at this time of night. When you pull the hand brake on the cables turn a shaft on the back of the callipers. That small piece of metal sits in an offset hole in the shaft and pushes the piston and pads against the discs as the shaft turns. Last Edit: October 26, 2021, 11:56:34 PM by PWardy

Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #365 – October 30, 2021, 09:50:30 AM This one is frustrating, as I'm sure I've clipped them on as I've been fitting the trim, but can't for the life of me remember exactly where! 1 Likes
Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #366 – October 30, 2021, 10:42:05 AM Yes they secure a trim panel. Just one edge of the panel is secured by several clips.

Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #368 – October 30, 2021, 11:15:54 AM MK1 door cards use these clips I believe
Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #369 – October 30, 2021, 11:49:34 AM Not front or rear door cards, not sill trims (white plastic as above). Not the boot panel (for access to wiper motor etc). Not the foot rest thing. Ah! Just as I was thinking there’s no other panel it Suddenly came to me. Sunroof panel!
Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #370 – October 30, 2021, 01:58:10 PM Yes that’s the one. Sunroof panel, it pushes up and clips into the steel roof

Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #373 – November 04, 2021, 05:20:42 PM Found one just the same between the carpet and underlay of the front passenger side footwell.Had dried up and come off, but presumed from the way it was facing it was originally stuck to the carpet.
Re: Test your knowledge! Reply #374 – November 04, 2021, 06:27:36 PM I thought L90E would get this one, yes indeed it is a carpet manufacturers QA sticker.
