Suspension and steering December 08, 2021, 09:31:41 PM So when I tidied up my Golf to start using it as a daily I retained the original springs and bought NOS front struts and I believe Boge rear dampers along with new rubber. I've subsequently changed to MK3 front top mounts and installed my eibach lowered springs on the front because I didn't want the "nose-up" look. I'm not sure this is ideal though.I haven't touched the tracking/geometry and the car does like to tramline so booked the car in to get it done. Unfortunately the track rod ends have rusted on so they weren't able to do it and told me my "wobbly" strut bolts I had provided were incorrect (expains why I couln't get them to work!)For those that have had the geometry done where have you taken your Golf and have they managed to fix without the use of "wobbly" strut bolts?
Re: Suspension and steering Reply #1 – December 08, 2021, 09:40:46 PM After changing my top strut mounts I had the tracking adjusted and the camber checked. They were able to adjust within tolerance with standard bolts fitted.scs

I have aftermarket struts, Bilstein I think, and with standard bolts they don’t quite give standard camber. So I need camber bolts to achieve standard camber. More movement, more mucking about getting it right but it does come right. Part number N 903 334 01 I think.
