I wasn't close enough, but....now getting closer.... 😁
So with some external encouragement from a guy called Hamish (sincere thanks) I'm slowly making progress with the final push on the electrics. I'm afraid my jointing won't be as good as many (I really wish I was better, but I guess that comes with skill as well as practice?). I may get some local help to neaten it all up since this really isn't my forte. I've had to shorten many of the wires to the FCM and I probably should have routed the black/yellow through the drivers side of bulkhead so it was more direct into the fusebox.
I'm going to fit a VR6 dual fan. I'm assuming the original CE2 fan wiring is man enough for the VR6 fan motor? The spade connector seems massive in comparison to the original!

Sounds good! I need to make a start on mine soon (though I've been saying that for 4 years!).
As for the wiring, yes, the mk2 wiring is plenty to run the VR fans.
Though you'll have to do some wiring, as the VR fan setup is so much more complicated than the mk2 one.

Hi Dave. I'm just going to wire-up the fan as per the ABF wiring loom but using the "big" connector. So live, slow and fast. Not sure what the 4th connector is for tbh!

Me neither actually!

My plan was to pull the standard fans out and run 2 slimline ones that either triggered one with A/C or both when really hot.
