Just bought my first mk2 GTI in over 25 years November 02, 2022, 11:31:05 AM Just a new member saying hi!I last had a Mk2 GTI back in the mid '90s! It was an '88 Oak Green 8v. Now back in the fold with a '91 (originally 8v now has a Mk3 2.0 16v with ITBs).I bought the car as the shell is solid and the engine, gearbox and brakes are epic. Gradually converting from a track car to something more suitable for the road. Here it is soon after I bought the car a few months ago:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rRrA4sFaRKK659xUuv_lqjDtj5hba2lv/view?usp=share_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPhMwOg6Xjpz-wb1Wuw8BElc0CXl7YE-/view?usp=share_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1u0lN4dfnP_uxC1JZkKaq3GjLTxKQjA6B/view?usp=share_linkBTW, how do I embed photos from Google Drive? Car was owned by the Gummers and built up over 20 years. Did you see it on a track day?

Re: Just bought my first mk2 GTI in over 25 years Reply #4 – November 02, 2022, 03:35:39 PM I'm probably one of the few people who remember that car as an 8v!I know the Gummers, they have gone over every inch of that car with a fine tooth comb.
