Retumbling an ignition barrel

Does anyone have any experience retumbling an ignition barrel?

I've done door locks before, they are relatively easy, to match the doors with ignition key.
But I need the reverse, I have an aftermarket ignition and genuine key. I'd like to match the ignition with the good key.

My ignition barrel was worn so I took it to Harrolds in Sheffield who rebuilt it for me. Cost about £30.
