no rear wiping

the relay is still clicking, but the wiper-motor stays silent.
this seems to be a classic.
maybe a broken cable between the trunk-flap and the cars body.

is there anybody who can give me some clues ahead of the repair
(how electrically and mechanically testing it, how the disassembling goes and stuff) ?

edit: cable break -> broken cable

With the tailgate open you'll see two rubber tubes going from the car body to the tailgate.

Pull back the rubber and you'll see the cables for the wiper motor, heated rear screen, number plate lights and the tube for rear washer and, if you have central locking the tube for the vacuum actuator.

It is common for a break in the wire at this point because of the continual 'folding' as the tailgate is opened and closed. You can just solder the joints and tape or heat shrink.

thanks, everything went fine :-)

cause of flexibility (and also the cables were a bit short on the body end),
i've put a piece of cable in between (so 2 joints per cable).

there i could have taken super-flexible cables
with very thin strandwires. has anyone tried those ?
