Hello, i am a new driver and have hd my license for 2 weeks now and own a 1991 Mk2 Golf Gti and im looking for insurance, i have tried some classic car insurances including peter james and they only allow people who have held their license for over 12 months. Does anyone know any good insurances for me?

Well I was well impressed when I rang for a quote. Friendly service from the lady on the phone . Very good price for both my mk2s on a joint policy . Agreed valuation was easy to arrange . £212 for both with 3000 limited mileage . Happy days . I would certainly recommend

Just had confirmed with Insurance-

the quick quote link won’t provide quote to anyone under 30. Provided that they are a club member we can cover over the phone at any age as long as they have 2 years driving experience (i.e aged 19) – if you need us to consider anyone younger than this then come to me directly and we’ll look at it for you.

Hi @Gabble your best getting learners insurance. Give them a call as not too sure if they offer this.

I wanted to add my son to my policy and the club insurer were unable to do it. But I've been with Lancaster previously on a classic policy. They couldn't add a learner to a classic policy but were able to move me to a mainstream policy which he could be added too and it was a better deal than anyone else.

When our sons were learning to drive we bought then their own insurance. It was with Marmalade and I think it was monthly. Quite expensive but it was standalone if they had an accident then it didn't impact my insurance.
