Didn't make many headlines but Peugeot announced a month or so ago that they are about to offer 205 GTI owners the opportunity to return their cars to the factory for remanufacturing / restoration using genuine or approved remanufactured parts.

They already run a programme similar to VW's classic car parts so presumably have quite a large catalogue to dip into.

Alternatively if you don't have a 205 they'll also be offering completed cars of their own, similarly factory restored (with certificates) for sale.

If it's a success I wonder will VW try something similar?

It's certainly an interesting direction to go into.
But with nostalgia being so in vogue nowadays, it could be happening more and more.

Would be interested in seeing how much a new old 205 would be.
My guess would be well over 50k
