Swage line September 16, 2021, 01:53:56 PM Hi Guys,Just about to have some bodywork done on my grey '87 early-type 5 door.It currently has a light grey swage line at waist level,and the Bodyshop say that it should be black,and have quoted between £50-100 to replace it.Are they correct in this?

Re: Swage line Reply #3 – September 17, 2021, 08:24:15 AM Thanks-so you're saying that black isn't correct,and the grey swage I have now on a Silver-grey Golf is actually correct?Now I'm worried!The guy at the Bodyshop was adamant that black was the correct colour,and said that he used to work for the Main Dealer back when these cars were sold!Makes me lose confidence in them a bit,really!
