A Pillar Leaks...

May have been on the old forum, or this one or even both but recall more than one person trying to tie down the source of water ingress from around the A pillar area.

Working at my own dash at the moment and looked up to see fresh air where I'd not expect to see it.

Photo's are hard to take there and light was fading, but it's the hole at the base of the pillar, on the outer skin that allows the sunroof drain pipe to exit into the void behind the front wing. Visible if you open the door.

Maybe shrinkage through age and they were originally a tight fit, but definitely no longer.

Not an area that will see much water probably but even so capilliary action could draw enough in over time to create a problem.

I've some mastic type stuff left over from the 205, remind you of an industrial version of Blutak, think it's popular with caravaners for sealing their roofs. Should be easy enough to push in from the inside and around the gap and never be seen when it's all buttoned up again.
