Shes had all new brake pipes throughout the car, while the engine was out the front was done and rear has now been done, hoses too...
need to get all the brakes, shoes, cylinders, discs, pads, calipers next along with all the panels for welding...

While in the garage she has so far had the suspension changed, new shocks, re-used the red lowering springs that were on before because they seemed ok and new top mounts..

She now has a working foot brake :-D just waiting for guide tubes to be able to sort the handbrake...

And she has had welding to inner arches, in the engine bay, the passenger sill, driver sill and driver side front jacking point...

thank you! I sold my T4 just before Christmas so i could plough a little more money in to this... shes my keeper so why not!
Im back at the garage today to do the exhaust and some other bits before she comes back home

Re: My very ambitious project mk2

so today the handbrake guide tubes have been re-used, had to drill out the bits that were rusted and stuck on the inside...
the new exhaust front pipe is on...
the sill on the driver side is welded on...
battery clamp section had to be cut out and a new bolt put in...
radiator bolts put in...
bonnet cable reattached...
some painting...

Please bare in mind though, my other half is NOT a welder... he has done this to help me out because it was not cost effective to have it done at a proper restoration place.. also I am clearly NOT a painter lol
I just wanted the rust cut out, made solid and some paint on it and I plan to get it tidied up professionally in the summer :-)

Weve got to sort out the electrics now. None of the electrics work, i have no idea why. The car starts and runs but no lights, brake lights, dash lights nothing...
Ive got another fuse box and a load of relays so will replace that and hope for the best :-/
