I was the original owner of a red MK2 registration C222XCJ which I bought in February 1986. I was surprised to find from the DVLA website that this was still taxed until 2019 so hopefully it still survives. I occurred to me, given its age, that it might belong to a MK2 club member. I would be interested to know its fate and also I do have some information on its early years if the current owner would care to get in touch.

That’s quite a memorable reg plate, but unfortunately isn’t a car I’ve come across before.

Good luck though, someone may know of it
