Clutch problems August 19, 2023, 07:57:28 PM Hi, I have a golf mk2 1.6td swapped to a 1.9 tdi, the setup still uses the original gearbox, and this happened on my clutch cable support, the cable was rubbing on the aluminum support and make a pretty nasty cut in therehttps://imgur.com/a/TOnuv2Lhttps://imgur.com/a/lrZJPP3I was not using the original rubber that was supposed to be between the cable and the support, I was only using the cable right on the aluminum, and I have the original intercooler so the cable was a bit twisted to the side, not working in a vertical position.I made a costum metal washer just for now, as shown in the picture, and I adjust the cable in a way that it doesn't touch any metal no more.https://imgur.com/a/ucOo8KfI was feeling the clutch getting heavier and sometimes like it was slipping, this engine was some material applied on it and is making a decent power so i though that the clutch was actually in his end of life, also because I didn't change it since I bought this car.Now that I fixed the clutch cable, the clutch is bitting really high, I already adjust the cable to the minimum, letting the cable go down the further possible, and now the clutch is slipping when I applied to much power, the clutch arm is already loosely, I can even move it with my hands. What you guys think do I need a new clutch or should the clutch arm go down even more (the cable is not making any tension now)?Sorry for the long post and bad English.
