1985 GTI 2 door side molding September 10, 2023, 10:50:46 PM I am searching for a friend. She has a 1985 GTI 2 door and it is clean as a whistle. She took it to the mechanic one day and the passenger side(NA) molding on the quarter panel fell off!! The mechanic replaced it with the smaller 4 door trim, cut it to length, it looks ok but is much narrow than the original. It is bothering her. I have searched and seems that the 4 door trim is the only one commercially available. I do not know if the US and Euro model trim are interchangeable, if someone knows, and where to find the correct trim, it would be much appreciated. It is the trim from the wheel well to the door on the quarter panel.
