Re: 1.3CL 86' to 2.8 24v V6 Reply #76 – July 25, 2024, 12:17:50 AM Great national meet as always! Nice to see some familiar faces, unfortunately don't think I managed to catch up with everyone! Golf did fine all day and got 19 laps in on the Saturday. The car really does get hot at curborough, but it didn't falter. Already looking forward to next year! 2 Likes
Re: 1.3CL 86' to 2.8 24v V6 Reply #77 – August 02, 2024, 04:51:16 PM It's always the way, I come away thinking I wish I'd had chance to catch up with more people. Car looked great. And I was suffering from Hot Start issues, I had to pop my bonnet between runs too to help with cooling. Nice to actually have the weather though. Even if it did change a bit later on, lol.

Re: 1.3CL 86' to 2.8 24v V6 Reply #79 – December 05, 2024, 12:07:38 AM Not much happening with the Golf. Finally painted the rear apron where the paint had peeled. Did the usual Blyton in September. The stars appear to have aligned. Me, the car, the track and the weather all seemed to be in perfect harmony. Did a full tank of fuel and had a cracking day. Maybe a new look... I'm undecided if I like it....Also finally think I've managed to work out the supplying dealer.... I reckon it's John Fox Nottingham. 1 Likes
