Door drop October 21, 2023, 10:04:27 PM Hi, I have a 3 door and it seems the door does not close very well due to lock not aligning correctly with the catch.I presume this is from years of abuse by a driver leaning on the door to get in or out.At the moment I can shut the door with either a gentle slam or have to lift the door as I close it.I need to lift it maybe 1cm if that.Anyone know a good way to get the door back to the correct alignment? Thanks in advance

Re: Door drop Reply #2 – October 22, 2023, 09:04:26 AM Do the door pins bend? Just wondering if it will be noticeable before removing the door?
Re: Door drop Reply #3 – October 22, 2023, 11:16:02 AM Try lifting the door when its slightly ajar you should see where the play is. 1 Likes
Re: Door drop Reply #4 – November 16, 2023, 10:49:14 AM It's usually the bottom pin that wears. If you decide to replace it, replace the half hinge as well. Be aware you will need to use a reamer on the hinge half as the pin will be too big. A temporary fix is to put a washer between the top hinge and door. 1 Likes
