Testing the water

Hello guys

i really have two questions for my g60.

i wanted to change the gearbox for a 6 speed and heard that the best fit would be an O2S from Touran TDI. Not if possible what would be the other part of the work that would be a pain for a person with an average mechanical skills?

i also, but that is a bit more crazy in this Day and age, but in order to increase mileage distance, it was possible to fit a tank from a Corrado VR6 (70L) compare to the current one (55L) my guess would be that the fuel puma would be needed too?

any information would be appreciated. (please dont hésitâte to tell me am crazy so i dont waste time on things that are not acheavable)

thank you

Hello,

I hear that the 02S is pretty much a straight swap for a mk2 and as such, usually demand quite a high price.

As for the fuel tank, that will definitely not fit.
The extra 15 litres are on the top of the tank as the Corrado boot floor comes higher up.
I tried using one for a VR6 conversion once and the tank was so big, the fuel filler stopped about 10cm below the hole in the side of the car!

Thank you for the help.

i have managed to pick up a gearbox but i heard some parts are better than others like the final drive of the O2Q is better so i wanted to know if some of our gearbox are better than other. i heard a voir that told me.

like what would be the best Tower on a gearbox

thank you
