Golf Specialist required

Hello everyone, I (we) am a new member. The reason I joined was to search for a specialist Golf Mk2 garage/mechanic/restorer that could do a few things for us. We have a 1990 GL, being an 1800 five door. I've converted it to a Webcon carburettor to make life easier on cold mornings. I've spent a lot of money on her and she is a delight, but needs a few things to make her even better, such as the gear change mechanism is clunky.

I'm looking for a professional

Please could anyone give me some recommendations?
