club membership

Hello, I have just bought a GTI Mk2 from my son to ensure it stays with us in the family. Insurance through Peter James was easy and a delight to deal with. I thought I had membership to the club organised but I haven't received anything? The insurance are asking for a membership number which I do not have right now. Can someone help? I made the payment around the 6th Feb, to an address in Wareham, Dorset.
