CE1 8 Pin Headlight switch with dimmer

Genuine original VW part, not aftermarket copy.

This is for an early spec. CE1 Headlight switch for a Volkswagen Golf or Jetta Mk2 with 8 pins.

As this is genuine Volkswagen it's likely to be one that was fitted at factory and therefore could be over 30 years old.
Considering this it is in fair condition for the age, and is in good working order.

Dimmer works fine.

Is it right for you car?
If your hazard light is a button on the top of steering column then you have a late spec CE2 car. This will be no good.
If your hazard switch is a rocker switch mounted in the dash switch panel this should be fine for your car.

NOTE:
Fitting a 10 or 11 pin switch in an early car can cause electrical fires, fitting an early switch like this in a late spec car will work but your dash will no illuminate.
Please make your own checks to which type of switch you need to decide if this is suitable for you car.
